In cooperation with Third Pole we produce video and photographic content for the German climbing and work safety brand EDELRID - by covering their annual Athlete Days in different locations of Europe. The film production constantly strives for creating content with a message: Green environment, multipitch and sportsclimbing routes, training routines, authentic presentation of new products and of course personal athlete stories.

When we talk about ‘strength’ we think of muscles, training and protein. But wait - what? That’s not all.
How do you show strength? What does it mean to you?
As another content series we created three clips about professional climber Angy Eiter – three main parts of her life: Angys training and rehabilitation routines, her partner in life and on the rock, and just her - climbing.
Kilian and Jules present EDELRIDS Neo 3R - the first rope made of ropes, explaining the process of the recycled yarn and testing it on the rock.
A silent obituary for Hansjörg Auer - with memories, thoughts and prayers from athletes and colleagues. A short clip with archive footage from the previous year 2018 to remember an alpine legend.
Difficult climbing as its best at home in the Allgäu - climbing history made by teamwork: Everyone with his or her individual style, speed and preferences, but still – together alone, they manage to top it, move by move.
Real conversations, real laughter, real struggles. The athlete days are more than a commercial shooting and briefing trip: It’s a colorful crew of professional climbers from different disciplines and generations. Every year they meet with the EDELRID staff, exchange, laugh, inform, teach and learn.
Since 2018 we cover the annual Athlete Days of EDELRID together with their climbing athletes from all around the world. The video output aims to present their yearly new products within different stories and topics in short clips. In 2018 the EDELRID family travelled to Briancon, known as the heart of the French Alps. On a four-day trip together with the athletes and staff, we documented sportsclimbing, bouldering, multipitch and all the little moments in between. When creating the concept and storytelling, we limit ourselves by sticking to EDELRIDS core values: Environmental responsibility, innovation, personality, creativity and authenticity.
Rather than solely showing the beautiful sceneries, laughing faces and perfectly lightened products, we dig deeper - by asking personal questions to the athletes: What bores you by the current status quo? What moves you to push boundaries? Why don’t you live a comfortable life - and instead climb the biggest walls in the world? How do we have to forego security in order to achieve higher levels? What sacrificies do you have to make to move forward?
Our storytelling combines a mix of emotion and information - represented by the people itself. Everyone brings along his or her own experiences, talents, successes and scars.
In 2019 we all travelled to Frankenjura, to develop EDELRIDS new campagne “enable free movement”. Within the production we again wanted to tell stories with a message, and adress different topics and themes, to give a better glimpse of what climbing really is about:
WHAT’S THE STORY?
TEAMwork & friendship
Living the goodlife, happiness, fun and freedom. Supporting each other, being a rope-team, trusting the other. What does family mean to you?
tribute to an alpine legend
Memories, thoughts and prayers from the athletes - for Hansjörg, who passed away too early, in an avalanche in spring 2019.
Leaving tracks
What can each and everyone of us do to move responsibly through nature? How can we be role models? What are you doing on the everyday basis to keep our environment clean? Why is it important?
Generations - leading by example
How can we learn from each other? From older and younger generations? How important is experience or a sense of “youth badass”? How do we develop as alpine mountaineers? What do we learn from pioneers? What did they leave to us? What would they think of us now? What future can climbing nowadays still bring? What can be done? What must be done?
EDELRID athlete Loic is a new aspirant talented sportsclimber from France, climbing on an incredible high level. On the opposite there are experienced climbers like Angy Eiter, Tommy Caldwell, Kilian Fischhuber - how do successful careers and life learnings change?
Showing Strength
When we talk about ‘strength’ we think of muscles, training and protein. But wait, is that so?
How do you show strength? What does it mean to you?

In the COVID-19 year 2020 we decided to celebrate EDELRIDS home – the Allgäu. In addition to EDELRIDS online knowledge base, the new clips want to tell the athletes stories. Again, the clips differ in length, language and message. And again, the athletes play the main roles as protagonists - with interviews as our core instrument.
GHOSTBUSTERS
Difficult climbing as its best, at home - a climbing classic in teamwork: Everyone has an individual style and speed, but still – together alone, we manage to top it, move by move.
Multipitch with David and robbie
David Göttler and Robbie phillips, two world class climbers and mountaineers, together on a local multipitch climb. Not a dramatic highly thrilling documentary as we’ve all seen it, but a fun, honest and authentic documentation of a chill day on the wall – real talks, real cursing, real laughter, real jokes.
Family life doc
How to give an authentic and good emotion to a brand? Through real conversations, real laughter and real struggles. The athlete days are more than a commercial shooting and briefing trip. A colorful crew of international professional climbers from different disciplines and generations, alpinists, sportsclimbers, boulderers and edelrid staff. Every year we meet again, exchange, laugh, inform, teach, learn and get closer.
Rope of tomorrow
Sustainable climbing with the first recycled rope: A rope made out of ropes - the latest edelrid innovation. Edelrid athletes and staff developer present the rope in an authentic way and combine it with insight information and honest feedback. A product film with a storytelling fundament: Climb responsible.
Angy Eiter
As another content series for EDELRID, we created three clips about Angy Eiter in cooperation with Third Pole. The short series is about the three main parts in her life: Her partner in life and on the rock, her training and rehabilitation routines, and just Angy - climbing!
